File this under “the Mavs never want to ever win another championship”. Jason Kidd is going to the Knicks. And now they’re trying to sign Ramon Sessions..? Did they not watch the Lakers in the playoffs last season? Sessions is not that impressive.
Rough time to be a Mavs fan. I’m guessing they’ll be trading Dirk soonish while he’s still worth something. Maybe they’re going into rebuilding mode.

Steve Nash is going to the freakin’ Lakers?!
I just read an article yesterday where Nash talked about how he didn’t think he could put on a Lakers’ jersey. I guess he got over it.
I haven’t read the details but I guess this move puts him closer to his kids. Can’t fault a guy for that.
Now that the Lakers have a real point guard, they’re looking a little scary. Especially if Kobe can keep playing like he did last year.
Rumors have been saying for awhile that the Lakers want to trade Gasol. It’ll be interesting to see who they could get for him. The Lakers are planning to have Kobe, Nash, Bynum, and Gasol as the core of the Lakers this coming season. Ramon Sessions is out of the picture now.
For those who are concerned, Dragic Goran is going to be the Suns’ starting PG. They also picked up Michael Beasley. Hm.
Edit: I’d just like to say, even though I don’t want the Lakers to be a better team (Go Thunder!), they should really consider ditching Bynum. He’s too temperamental and childish. Get rid of him and get someone who won’t drag down the team’s morale.

Jason Terry is going to the Celtics.
So let’s see, the Mavs have now lost Tyson Chandler, JJ Barea, DeShawn Steveson, and Jason Terry. There goes a big part of your 2011 Championship team.
Oh well. They still have Dirk, Jason Kidd, and uh…Brendan Haywood?
I hope Dirk is content with one ring. Unless they trade him, too. Gotta get D-Will!
Actually, looks like D-Will is staying with the Nets.

Let me try to get trough the pics from Portland. Here you can see the parked cars are placed out side of the bike lane, as part of an experiment to see if that makes bicyclists feel, and actually be, safer.

That looks nice. Wide enough lane to avoid being doored plus you have a parked car between you and traffic. As long as they keep these lanes clean, they’ll be awesome.

Or should we say, hey fellow fans of Arrested Development!
June 29th is the opening of “There’s Always Money in the Banana Stand,” Gallery 1988’s group show tribute to Arrested Development and those wacky Bluths we all love so much.
This awesome piece, entitled Out on a Limb, was created by Julian Callos and features the one and only Buster Bluth facing his fear, the seal with the yellow bow tie.

Harden puts in a three in the last minute of the 4th quarter to seal up the game for the Thunder. One more win and they’re off to the Finals!

After Game 2, the Thunder had to come back and fight hard. And they did. Perk blocking Ginobili on a 3 point shot? Ridiculous. If the Thunder keep playing like this, we could be going to the Finals.

watershedplus:

An innovative initiative is taking place in the Philippines to bring sustainable lighting to homes in impoverished communities. Empty plastic bottles are installed in the roof, filled with water and bleach they refract sunlight. These “solar light bulbs” provide light equivalent to a 55watt light bulb.

See how they’re made here. From Visual News
